New legislation within the UK aimed at creating sustainable places has encouraged developers to take a conscientious approach to the environmental impact of their developments and increasingly we see that this is becoming of equal importance to purchasers and investors of future developments.
Through its ancillary company, Sustainable Development Partners EU Limited (SDPEU Ltd), of which Llion Rowlands and Carl and Garry Lewis are majority shareholders,it is already working with The University of Salford, one of the top three Universities in the world in the field of sustainable construction and renewable energies. Eyes Abroad will be one of the first companies to achieve the top UK Government environmental standard “BREEAM Excellent” on a large scale development which will create 2000 jobs in Wales in 2007. BREEAM is the world's most widely used environmental assessment method for buildings.
The University of Salford and the University of Wales have both expressed a strong interest in an industrial collaboration with The Eyes Abroad Group. The aim is to employ the knowledge and expertise of world class professionals in Eyes Abroads’ own developments; ultimately benefiting our environment. EA are committed to applying the same high environmental standards in Montenegro as it does in the UK and will be looking to engage with the University on Montenegro and The Montenegrin Government with a view to establishing a ‘Sustainable Development Council’ in due course.
